From your artwork to your dock, in five real steps.
This is the real process behind every custom patch, pin, coin, lanyard and label we make: what we need from you, how a job gets priced at the factory, how the proof works and what happens after you approve it. Where a number is not yet published, we say so plainly instead of guessing.
Five steps, from your artwork to your dock.
The same five steps for every job, whatever you are making.
Send us the job
Product, size, quantity, colours, backing or attachment, and the date you need it in hand, plus your artwork or a photo of what you have now.
We price it at the factory
Your job goes out to the factory that actually makes that construction and comes back with a real number, not a figure pulled from a published price list.
You approve the proof
Nothing goes into production until you sign off on a proof of your exact artwork, colours and layout.
Production runs
Once the proof is approved, the job moves into production on the schedule that gets you to your in-hands date.
We ship it to you
Finished goods ship straight to you by UPS from Holly Hill, Florida.

Vector artwork gives the cleanest result. A photo of what you have now is enough to start.
Most jobs start best with vector art, a file built from paths rather than pixels, because it scales cleanly to any patch, pin or coin size without losing an edge. If all you have is a piece you already own or a photo of an old design, send that instead. We will tell you on the quote whether we can work from it directly or need to redraw it.
- AI, EPS or PDF is the cleanest starting file
- PNG is accepted
- A photo of the item you already have is enough to start a quote
However it needs to attach, tell us on the quote.
Different products use different attachments across our catalog. These are the six most common.
Sew-on
The plain backing, sewn directly to the garment. Standard on most embroidered and woven patches.
Iron-on or heat seal
A heat-activated backing applied with a household iron or a press, no needle required.
Hook-and-loop
A Velcro-style backing that lets a patch move between uniforms or gear.
Pin back
A metal pin and clutch on the reverse, standard for lapel pins and some smaller emblems.
Magnet
A magnetic backing for anything that should not leave a hole or a mark in the fabric.
Keyring
A split ring attachment, common on challenge coins, key chains and smaller medallions.
What to expect, from quote to delivery.
These are typical figures, not a guarantee. Your quote carries the exact dates and quantities for your job.
| Stage | Typical timing | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Quote returned | 2 to 3 business days | Once we have your size, quantity, colours, backing and artwork. |
| Proof after artwork | Usually 1 to 3 business days | Turnaround depends on the construction and how much redraw work your artwork needs. |
| Production after proof approval | About 3 to 4 weeks | Counted from the day you sign off on the proof, not the day you first contact us. |
| Rush | Around 10 business days, when the factory can hold it | Tell us your in-hands date on the quote and we will say plainly whether rush is possible. |
| Custom minimum | From 100 pieces | Varies by product and construction. Confirmed on your quote. |
Every figure here is confirmed on your quote. Colour and thread counts are set at the quote stage too.
