Die cast medals on printed ribbon, and an event date that will not move.
A medal job is your artwork struck or cast into a die, finished in the plating and enamel colours you choose, and hung from a ribbon printed or woven to match. Because the medals usually have to be on site by a race day, ceremony or graduation, the in-hands date is the fact that shapes the whole schedule, not an afterthought at the end of the form.
- Medal size, shape and construction: die struck or die cast, set from your own artwork.
- Ribbon colour, width and any printed or woven text on the ribbon itself.
- An in-hands date tied to the event, which the production schedule is built around.
Three examples, not thirty sub-types.
Medals and awards is a single construction, die cast on a printed ribbon, so instead of a grid of invented variants, here is the range shown in real photographs of finished work.

5K finisher medal
A full colour enamel medal on a printed orange ribbon, the style made for a running event finish line.

Youth finisher medal
A smaller finisher medal in the same full colour finish, on a green ribbon, sized for a youth or kids division.

Citation medal
A gold citation medal on a green ribbon, the style used for department and unit recognition awards.
Six answers, one accurate quote.
Medal size
The medal's diameter or shape, and whether it should be die struck or die cast.
Quantity
How many medals, per design, so the mold and the run are priced together.
Colours
How many colours of enamel fill, or a plain struck finish with no fill.
Ribbon
Ribbon colour, width and any printed or woven text on the ribbon.
Artwork
Vector artwork of your medal design, AI, EPS or PDF preferred, or a photo of an existing medal to match.
In-hands date
The date the medals need to be on site for the event. This is the date the whole schedule works backward from.

Plating and ribbon are confirmed at the proof, built backward from your event date.
Plating, enamel colour and the ribbon's colour and text are set once you approve a proof, not guessed on the order form. Because a fixed event date is usually the reason for the job, tell us that date first. Custom medal runs typically need from 100 pieces, confirmed on your quote, and about 3 to 4 weeks after proof approval, confirmed on your quote, plus shipping time. Ask about rush service when you request your quote.
- Plating: gold, silver, antique bronze, antique brass or nickel, confirmed at the proof stage.
- Enamel fill in your design's colours, or a plain struck or cast finish with no fill.
- Ribbon colour, width and any printed or woven text, matched to your artwork.
