Seven pin constructions Proof approved before it runs
Antique brass die struck lapel pin without enamel, plated metal only, no colour fill.

One die, then plating, enamel or print decides the finish.

Every pin starts as a die cut from your artwork and struck in brass or steel. From there the finish is a choice: leave the metal exposed for a die struck pin, fill the recesses with enamel for colour, or chemically etch the fine detail into brass and fill it with soft enamel for sharper lettering. Every construction plates in gold, silver or nickel, with copper also an option, and can be antiqued, sandblasted or polished.

  • Die struck: brass or steel, stamped and cut to your outline, then plated.
  • Photo etched: your artwork etched into brass for fine lettering, filled with soft enamel.
  • Cloisonne and soft enamel: colour poured into recessed cells for a smooth, durable finish.
  • Silkscreened and offset printed: full colour art printed under a clear epoxy dome.

Pick the finish, and we match the factory that runs it best.

From a polished die struck outline to a full colour print under epoxy, the construction and finish are set by how the pin will be worn and what the artwork needs to show.

Gold, silver, nickel or copper, then how it clips on.

Every plated pin finish comes in gold, silver or nickel, with copper as an option, and can be antiqued, sandblasted or simply polished for contrast. On the back, a butterfly clutch is the standard secure attachment; a rubber clutch, a magnetic back for uniforms that cannot be pierced, or a safety pin for quick attachment are also available. A die is cut for every new pin design; mold charges for a die struck without enamel pin are the same as for die struck soft enamel.
