Police and sheriff
Shoulder patches, unit and rank insignia for departments and sheriffs' offices.
Six constructions, embroidered, woven, chenille, satin tackle twill, hand embroidered bullion and sublimated, all cut and finished to your artwork. Send the size, quantity, colours, backing and the date you need them, and we quote from the factory price.
Every patch starts with your logo or crest, redrawn for thread, wire or twill rather than a screen. From there we choose the construction, the backing and the border together, based on how much detail your design carries and where the finished patch will be worn, a uniform sleeve, a blazer pocket or a bag.
Every patch job starts with your artwork and ends in one of six builds, chosen for the detail in your design and where the finished patch is worn. Pick one to see how it compares.

Satin stitch worked over a twill or felt backing for raised, textured letters and logos. The core patch construction, suited to detailed lettering and moderate colour counts, finished with a merrowed or heat cut edge.

Woven flat from fine polyester thread rather than stitched, holding small text and thin lines that embroidery cannot. Keeps the patch look with sharper detail, finished the same way with a heat seal or sew-on backing.

Tufted yarn built up into a raised pile, the classic letterman look for varsity letters and team names. Suited to bold, simple shapes rather than fine detail.

Pieces cut from solid twill fabric and appliqued on with a stitched border, often paired with embroidery for lettering. A common choice for large numbers and team names on athletic uniforms.

Metallic bullion wire and thread, worked by hand onto felt or twill for a raised, dimensional finish. The choice for blazer crests and formal or ceremonial insignia. No setup or digitizing fees.

Full colour dye printed directly into the fabric rather than stitched, for photo realistic art and gradients that thread cannot reproduce. Ask about this construction when you request your quote.

These are the common starting sizes for where a patch is worn. Tell us the width and height you want; the proof shows the exact size before anything is made.

A plain back, sewn into place by the wearer or a tailor. The most permanent way to attach a patch.
Best for uniforms and jackets that are washed often.
A heat activated adhesive backing, applied with a home iron or a heat press.
Best for quick application on cotton and canvas.
A hook-and-loop fastener on the back, with the matching half sewn to the garment, for a patch that comes off and goes back on.
Best for tactical gear, bags and swappable patches.
A rigid backing for a patch that needs to sit flat and stiff.
